Cape Cod Foodie: hangar b eatery

One thing I most certainly am is a self-procalimed foodie. Literally, if I could do one thing for the rest of my life it would be go out to eat, especially out for brunch.

If it's possible, brunch legit is my SPIRIT ANIMAL.

I'm not a morning person, so the idea of eating before 10:00 a.m. is ungodly to me. On the flip side, Michael is a morning person and hates waiting for food/a table/reservation/etc. so it's honestly a miracle that we are getting married. {kidding! sort of...} I am obsessed with everything that brunch is: relaxing, an opportunity to drink before 5:00 p.m. {mimosas, duh}, a place where messy top knots and leggings are 100% acceptable and most importantly where you can have ZERO SHAME stuffing your face, because hey, it's noon and this is my first meal of the day!

So when we learned that we were renting a house in Chatham for the upcoming nuptials of some dear friends, I immedaitely zeroed in on finding some fab brunch spots.

Alas, I give you everything that is right with this word - hangar b eaterty

Located inside the Chatham Municipal Airport {how cool, right!?!}, hangar b serves out of this world breakfast and lunch from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Tip: be sure to check their website, because as like most Cape Cod spots, hangar b's hours of operation adjust with the season.

In addition to daily specials {one of which I scored}, Chef Brian Erskine makes an assortment of food-porn-worthy items including potato buttermilk doughnuts {I can vouch for these babies, they are life changing!}, muffins, specialty jams - um, strawberry thyme balsamic, anyone? - and more. What I absoltuely adored is that hangar b sources their food locally, so it's as fresh as it is delicous. This also includes a family coffee roaster which serves up smooth, organic, fair trade coffee.

So what did I indulge in?

Well other than the potato doughnuts, I quickly scoped out a special that I knew I couldn't pass up: artichoke, cipriani onion + fingerling potato hash. Yes, read it and drool. Served with perfectly poached cage-free eggs and perfectly toasted sourdough. {I saved some of our jams that come with the doughuts and slathered it on.} There was also an incredible aoli that I forgot to write down, mainly because I devoured this in seconds. It's a blessing I managed to take an Instagram first.

Friends, friends of friends and anyone who stumbles on this who may be visiting Cape Cod - run to hangar b as soon as you can. The menu certainly does not disappoint.

Be sure to let me know if you pay hangar b a visit, and of course, what you ordered!
